Payments can be made via online shopping cart.  Orders will not be placed until full payment is received.

Silver Sixpence pricing is subject to change at any time  without notice. 

 

Custom order construction time

Please refer to individual listings for construction time frames.  This will always apply after full payment of the order is receive (unless the item is marked as being in stock and ready to ship).  Please note that conditions such as fabric supply delays are out of our control.  For this reason it is important to allow plenty of time for ordering custom items. 

 

Sizing

Should you require specific measurements of any item please contact us directly prior to placing an order.  We will be most happy to provide your requested measurements to make an informed purchase. 

  

Colours

There can be variances in colours shown online from computer to computer.  If you are unsure about what colour you would like please contact us prior to ordering.  We may request a swatch of the colour you are attempting to match so that we can give our recommendations.

 

Shipping prices

All orders to Australian addresses are shipped via Australia Post.  If you would like to upgrade to overnight express or include insurance to the value of your order please contact us prior to completing your order as this would be an additional charge added to your order (please ensure that your postcode is included in the overnight express service areas as this service is not available in all areas).

For all international orders we ship with Australia Posts pack and track service.  Silver Sixpence is not responsible for any damage or loss incurred during shipping, therefore if you would like to upgrade to have insurance included please contact us prior to ordering to add it to your cart.  This upgrade incurs additional shipping charges which are quoted based on the size of the order and customers location – please contact us along with your country for current shipping costs. Express international shipping is also available for an additional charge.  For international customers there may be duties payable on your item – it is not Silver Sixpence’s responsibility to notify customers or pay duties that may be due.  This is entirely the responsibility of the customer.  In the case that an item is confiscated by customs due to violations of import/export laws of their country, Silver Sixpence is not responsible and there is no compensation for this.

 

Shipping time

Items are shipped from Brisbane, Australia and exact shipping times are dependant on your location.  For example, metropolitan cities in the Eastern Australian states ship much faster (approx 1-2 working days) than more rural and remote areas (5 or more working days).  Also international shipping can take quite a while longer (2-4 weeks).  For more exact shipping times please contact us directly.

Silver Sixpence can not be held responsible for any delays caused by Australia Post or any other mail service as these are conditions out of our control.  This includes all mail services such as express or registered post.

Upon shipping of your order you will receive a notification email.  If you have not received your order in a timely manner after this, please contact us immediately so that we can look into your order and check tracking if this additional service was requested.  All domestic orders require a signature on receipt of the items.

 

Items lost or damaged during shipping

 

Silver Sixpence is not responsible for items which are lost or damaged during shipping which is why we highly recommend upgrading to include insurance with your order.  When insurance is included, if damages / losses occur, once confirmation has been received by Australia Post that the item has been lost or damaged, compensation can be sought via Australia Post.  In the instance of a faulty item (not incurred via shipping) this must be returned and received by Silver Sixpence to be investigated further. 

 

Order cancellations / Returns / Refunds

For all standard items which are listed as being in stock should you change your mind on your order please notify us asap. Should cancellation for standard items occur prior to the item being shipped we will issue a full refund of the item and shipping fees.  Should cancellation occur after the item has been shipped or should you receive the item and wish to return you are most welcome to do so.  Please notify us within 48 hours of receipt of the item.  Item must be returned to us within 7 days in its original unworn condition along with your receipt with return shipping at the customers expense.  A refund of the item price will be returned but not the shipping cost.

Should the item arrive and be faulty please contact us asap to arrange a replacement item.

For all custom orders should cancellation or return of item be requested a 50% restocking fee will be retained and 50% of the item price will be returned.  Shipping costs are non refundable and return shipping costs will be at the customers expense.  Should custom orders be faulty please contact us asap to arrange a replacement item.

In the case where a refund is requested this will be returned within 48-72 hours upon receiving the dress.  This refund will be sent via PayPal or direct deposit to the account through which the original order was placed.  Monies will not be refunded in any other form. 

 

Compliments and complaints

 Silver Sixpence would love to hear your compliments, along with some pictures of you looking fabulous in your Silver Sixpence items on your big day that we can share on our social media pages (please also include photographer details for credit).  We are happy to listen to your complaint and work with you to come up with a reasonable resolution within the constraints of our policies.  Silver Sixpence will not tolerate any threats or abusive language and communication will cease immediately if a customer does not comply with this.

 

Silver Sixpence Liability

Silver Sixpence can only be held responsible for up to the full purchase price of the item/s ordered by the customer in the rare event that the order does not reach the customer by their event date.  In the instance where Silver Sixpence is at fault for items not reaching the customer by their event date, a full refund of the purchase price of the item/s will be offered with no other compensation available.  Silver Sixpence is not responsible in any way for losses / delays caused during shipping of the item from our premises to the customer – this is the responsibility of Australia Post.
